Have you ever wondered what and how are the most bizarre stadiums in the world? Some of these enclosures are built in the sea, on mountains and others even have a tree in the middle.

  • Estadio Tomás Beggan Correa: This venue, where the Resistance Sporting Club team from the Second Division of Paraguay plays, has a mythical lapacho tree in the middle of its stands. When the authorities remodeled the stadium, they chose to respect this plant, a joint initiative between the team and Paraguay Agricultural Corporation (Payco), in a gesture of great respect for nature. Last year, the club made a rather curious decision: Make the lapacho tree a member. And why not, if it is present in all the parties supporting the Resistance team?

  • Osaka Stadium: In Japan there is a big fanaticism for baseball, and in the city of Osaka there is a very particular stadium, although it is difficult to play in it. In this stadium, an urban complex is built. Previously, the colossus was the house of the baseball team Nankai Hawks, but in 1999 they moved their headquarters to another place, and the demolition represented a very high cost, so the owner decided to sell it to a local businessman, who decided to give it a very productive use.

The particularity of this stadium, is that it is built in a quarry of Monte Castro, and has bleachers only on the sides. Behind one of the goals is a wall of rock from the quarry, while on the other side there is a panoramic view of the city.

The place is so cold that the grass does not grow, so the court is completely artificial grass.
