"El Dorado" is the 11th album in the Colombian singer's career and its release has generated all kinds of expectations". "El Dorado World Tour 2018" has already begun its journey and will go through Latin America in countries such as Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, and Mexico. "Latin America gave this album and the tour its name and I'm excited to be able to bring "El Dorado World Tour"  to my continent", the Colombian said in an official press release in which she also added: "Latin America has a very special place in my heart".

The tour will be produced by Live Nation Entertainment, and will present the biggest hits of the winner of 14 Grammy Awards. The tour will begin on October 11 in Mexico City and end on November 3 in Bogota, Colombia. El Dorado World Tour will also have stops in Europe and the United States, where she will perform several concerts in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, and Las Vegas. This will be Shakira's first Latin tour in seven years.

One of the novelties that has drawn attention to this tour is that the songs that the Colombian will play have been selected for some time by their fans, an issue that increases the expectation around this great global show. The artist summoned her followers through her official Twitter account to participate in the choice of the songs she will perform in her upcoming concerts. Among the hits chosen by her fans are 'Whenever, Wherever', 'Underneath Your Clothes', 'La Tortura', 'Don't Bother', 'Hips Do not Lie', 'Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)', 'La bicicleta', 'Chantaje', 'Ciega, sordomuda', and 'Me enamoré'.

Great recognitions

Shakira is one of Latin America's biggest music celebrities, she has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide, and her career has been worthy of important international recognitions, among which she stands out as the only one artist from South America with a song that was number one in the United States.

The album "El Dorado" that inspires this great tour 2018, won 9 platinum albums, and includes hit hits around the globe such as "The Bicycle",  "Blackmail", "Me Enamoré," and "Déja vu", this work also ranks first on Billboard's list of Latin albums. This album also won the Best Latin Pop Album award at the 2018 Grammys, after being voted the Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album at the Latin Grammy Ceremony of 2017. The singer from Barranquilla also won recognition as Best Latin Artist, and Song of the Year at the 2017 American Music Awards, after the huge success of several of the album's singles.

  • October 21 and 23 in Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Porto Alegre (Brazil).
  • October 25 Buenos Aires (Argentina).
  • October 27 in Rosario (Argentina).
  • On October 30 in Santiago de Chile.
  • November 1 in Guayaquil (Ecuador).
  • November 3 Bogotá (Colombia).
