This bar in the Colombian capital is a completely new proposal in the country and promisses nights full of singing and glitter

This queer environment opens its doors to all people because its visitors are meant to feel welcome all the times. The concept of its aesthetics is inspired by the taste for underground spaces and the sixties. With a pop style, it has zones of the place that you can close to sing with your friends, rockolas, replicas of saunas, and a staircase with lights of the colors of the rainbow. It has different textures, such as tiles, wooden floors painted in fish scale, marble, ocher bronze, mirrors, and its color palette is pink, silver, pastel shades, and black.

Sauna is an LGBTIQ bar, for dancing and karaoke, created to be a pleasant space in which to spend an afternoon with your friends. It offers entertainment activities such as bingo-drag, dance shows, and sets by international DJs. Its founders have been doing several gay parties in recent years, in places like Billares Londres and Videoclub, but they found the need to have a place focused on these experiences in Bogotá.

 

The music is very varied. One day you can find pop and house, and another day disco. Depending on the theme of the party to break the monotony. Also, in this way you can live the same place in different ways. You can also rent some heels. The cocktail bar was designed by David Laverde, one of the best cocktail shakers in the country. Rescuing the language of this sub-culture with proposals such as "El vaso de la rosa" gin with edible and perfumed rose petals, "Golden shower" with edible glitter that leaves your mouth golden, "Sugar daddy" with champagne and cotton sugar, "El cuerpo del deseo" flamed, and some dessert type with which you can replace your daily snack. The prices of these cocktails range between 10,000 COP and 30,000 COP (around $3 and $10USD), and you can also order pizza from "Armando Pizza y Pola".

The project is directed by Andrés Castiblanco, designer of the Jorge Tadeo University with a master's degree in project management for graphic design and coolhunting from the University of Elisava, and Daniel Rodríguez, industrial engineer from the Universidad de los Andes. They wanted to create this space where everything is possible and where you can express yourself freely. Allied with Bitácora,they  propose pieces of branding like bath soaps with photographs of men and the logo of the place or the fun content in their social networks. In addition, they were associated with Bernardo Londoño and Lorenzo Bellorini, architects with experience in bar construction to materialize this space.
