In anticipation of their forthcoming album, Café Tacuba dropped their third single, a psychedelic pop-ballad titled "Disolviéndonos."
The eclectic track was penned by lead vocalist Rubén Albarrán, who cited unanswered questions about life as inspiration behind the lyrics: "Can you hear the fall of the old tree in the lonely forest? Is everything forever? Is a dream more absurd than this that we call reality? Those are just questions that, little by little, become nothing because there isn't a real response."
Cafeta teamed up with longtime collaborator Gustavo Santaolalla to produce the single. "'Disolviéndonos' is a song that invites us to take a deep trip -- a poetic path where, throughout the voice, instruments and the very diverse musical landscapes, slowly, loses its shape," Santaolalla adds.
Café Tacuba has been rolling out singles including "Un par de lugares" and "Futuro" ahead of their upcoming album, due in the spring. The new set will follow the Grammy-nominated LP El Objeto Antes Llamado Disco from 2012.
