Rome

The latest film by Mexican Alfonso Cuarón heads our list. He won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. It is a black and white film that tells the story of a family that lives in the Roma neighborhood of Mexico City, where Cuarón grew up, during 1970. As the Taste of Cinema website mentions, it is It would be the director's first Spanish movie, after "Y tú mamá también", from 2001. It is the latest film from the universe of the creators of The Conjuration. Although IMDB has a score of just 5.9 out of 10, this film was one of the most anticipated of the year due to the rumors that in its premiere people from the public had to leave the theater. It is a horror film in which a priest, a peasant, and a novice are sent to investigate the suicide of a nun in an ancient monastery. The nun is already on billboards in Latin America for all terror fans.

The Favorite

The Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos is characterized by rare and uncomfortable films. He also writes stories set in the future (The Lobster) or imagines other worlds out of time (DogTooth). This time he has chosen to direct a period history. It is about the story of Queen Anne of England and a battle between a duchess and her cousin for his attention. It has a cast of first: Olivia Colman, who will play Queen Elizabeth in the third season of The Crown, Oscar winner Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz, who has already collaborated with Lanthimos. This, the only comedy on our list will be released in November in North America and we expect it to be released in December in Latin America.

Suspiria

It is a remake or, as the director prefers to call it, a reimagining of Argento's classic. It is the director of the box office and very applauded Call me by your name, Luca Guadagnino. And speaking of Call me by your name, this will be the next film of its protagonist: Timothee Chalamet, who was also applauded for his role in the award-winning Lady Bird. Bohemian Rhapsody

According to Taste of Cinema, it revolves around the years that led the legendary English band Queen to the concert Live Aid in 1985. This film changed its director, which has put the public in doubt. However, it remains one of the most anticipated films by the audience, because we all want to see the great Freddie Mercury alive again in the interpretation of the protagonist of Mr. Robot, Rami Malek. First Man
