No one expected the NBA conference finals to look this way. Most sports analysts swore that the western conference finals would be between the Lakers and Clippers, the two Los Angeles teams, and that the eastern finals would be played between the Bucks and the Celtics.

However, two teams unexpectedly managed to reach their respective finals on the edge of talent and enthusiasm: the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets. Regardless of how these conference finals play out, the impressive track record of both teams is worth noting. Here we tell you everything about it.

Miami destroys the eastern conference

Most predictions put the Bucks, who dominated the regular season, ahead of all other teams in the eastern conference. They did not have the Miami lineup, which humiliated this team, almost achieving a perfect victory with a final score of 4-1. It should be noted that the Heat team came to this difficult game after sweeping the Indiana Pacers 4-0.

Miami's victory over the eastern favorite is due to two reasons. The first is the incredible performance of two of their young players Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson, which has allowed Miami to shoot the 3-ball over and over again in pressure situations.

The second is the impressive performance of Jimmy Butler, who has proven to be the true star of the team, with 6 appearances with more than 20 points in these Playoffs. His effort and perfectionism are well known, but during these playoffs he has taken both to another level, making truly spectacular plays like the following.

The Miami Heat then have a real chance of reaching the finals, as at press time they lead 2-1 over the Boston Celtics. Will they succeed?

Denver Nuggets make playoff history in the West

Most basketball fans know that it is difficult, if not impossible, to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the playoffs. It's so tough that the only team to do it twice in history has been this year's Denver Nuggets.

Not only did they come back in their first meeting against the Jazz from this macabre deficit, they did it again against the LA Clippers, a lineup that absolutely everyone expected would win that meeting.

The keys to victory for this team have undoubtedly been its two best players: Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. The former has averaged a monstrous 26.6 points, 6.5 assists and 5 rebounds so far in these playoffs, while the latter is putting up equally impressive numbers every night, being one of the few in history to hit a triple-double with more than 20 rebounds in one of his games against the Clippers. Jokic is the team's stopping star, with the ability to shoot easily from anywhere on the court, combined with Murray, they are a fatal duo.

Can the Nuggets beat the Lakers? At the close of this edition, the Los Angeles team dominated them 2-1, but as they have already shown, nothing is impossible for this team from the mountains of Denver.
