When it comes to lists about billionaires, Forbes is the most used reference due to its specialization in financial matters. However, the real-time ranking called "Real Time Billonaires" is made up of just over 2,000 people, of which only 234 are women. In addition, of all the ladies present, Forbes notes that only 67 of them made their fortune from scratch and by themselves , while the rest owes their fortune to family or partner inheritances as well as divorce distributions. Also, despite the fact that the number of women present decreased compared to 2019, this year the fortune as a whole is greater.

Among the women on the list, we've analyzed the top 5 Latinas:

5) María Helena Moraes

Brazil is the Latin American country with the most presence on the Forbes list, that's where 89-year-old Mrs. Moraes comes from. Her fortune is currently 1.7 billion dollars, this places her in the 1135 position of the richest people in the world. Her money comes mainly from a family business founded by her late father in 1918, called Grupo Votorantim, one of the largest conglomerates of companies in the region, focusing mainly on energy, banking, mining, and metals businesses as well as infrastructure. According to BN Americas, this group is operated between María Helena and her brother Ermirio Pereira, so it remains in the hands of her family.
