Singer Grimes announced that she and businessman Elon Musk are waiting for their first child together. Grimes made the announcement by publishing a nude photo on her social networks with a fetus drawn on her belly as if seen through her skin. This would be the first child for the 31-year-old singer. In the case of the businessman, owner of several companies, this will be his sixth son, since he had had twins and triplets with his previous wife, Justine Musk.

The Dukes of Sussex have made an unusual announcement: they will become financially independent of the crown. On Wednesday, January 8, they announced through their main social networks and their new website that they renounce their position as seniors of the crown and with it also the public salary they receive for being part of the Royal family.

They clarified that they will continue to support the queen but that they will take care of themselves economically, which is not possible as a senior member of the royal family since it is forbidden to have a job or a source of income other than the treasury. They also stated that they will divide their time between the United Kingdom and North America.

The New Mutants trailer opens

The universe of the X-men saga will expand with this new generation of young mutants. This week the first trailer of this production, whose premiere has been repeatedly postponed due to production problems, was released.

The tone that is often used in X-Men movies will change: this is a horror tape. You can see a group of young mutants in a kind of psychiatric hospital trying to cure or solve the mystery of why everyone is there. Within the cast are Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy and Alice Braga.

The nominees for the Critics' Choice Awards

This week the nominees for the Critics' Choice Awards were announced. These awards are given to the critics' favorite productions, their jury is made up of approximately 300 American critics close to the film industry. The film that tops the list of nominees is The Irishman, with 14 nominations; then Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood, with 12; Little Women, with 9; and 1917 and Marriage Story with 8 each. The ceremony will take place this Sunday, January 12.

The young actor has been selected to play the musical legend and Literature Nobel. This is a biographical film prepared by James Mangold in which the specific moment in which Bob Dylan makes his transition from folk to rock music will be seen. The film has no title yet but this week it was confirmed that Timothée Chalamet is the actor chosen to play Dylan.
