Shakira takes El Dorado World Tour to cinema

The Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira will arrive on November 13 at the main movie theaters in the world with a feature film about El Dorado World Tour, the most acclaimed tour of the music superstar, which will show her performing live and in scenes behind the scenes.

The film includes unpublished scenes and demonstrates the efforts that were necessary to bring the production through 22 countries to almost a million attendees, after the singer postponed the tour due to a hemorrhage on a vocal cord, in November 2017.

"This feature film will be screened in 2,000 theaters in more than 60 countries, again demonstrating that Shakira is a global icon," said a Trafalgar Releasing statement.

Most of the scenes in concert were filmed during her performance in Los Angeles, in August 2018, although it includes other presentations before full crowds in stadiums all over the planet, in which Shakira presented her new hits as "Blackmail" and "The Bicycle ", as well as classics of his discography of more than 20 years such as" Hips Don't Lie "," Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)", and" I am Here ".

"This was one of the most memorable tours of my career. After recovering my voice, my fans encouraged me to return to the stage as they always do, and it is somewhat surreal to revive it with them now in more than 60 countries through cinemas in everybody, "said the Colombian artist in a statement.

"I know you have been asking on my social networks for this movie of my concert and now it is finally ready, so I hope it is something to remember both for me and for all those who have supported me over the years," he added.

The film will be presented on November 13 in theaters around the world, with repeated functions in selected locations.

In her prolific career, Shakira has sold more than 60 million records worldwide and won numerous awards including three Grammys, 11 Latin Grammys, and several World Music Awards, American Music Awards and Billboard Awards, among others.
