Education: Does paying more guarantee you a better education?

Studying at the best university in the world does not guarantee you having one of the best salaries as a professional. At least that comparison can be made taking into account the QS World University Ranking 2019 and a study conducted by Forbes magazine in mid-August of the previous year to schools in the United States.

The most recent ranking of the best universities on the planet ranks first, and for the seventh consecutive year, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The list is obtained by weighting the academic reputation, based on surveys of 70 thousand experts in higher education (40%), the prestige of employability of graduates, according to a survey carried out for employers (10%), the teacher-student ratio (20 %), the citations produced during the last five years by the members of the institution (20%) and the ratio of international teaching staff / international students (5%).

The podium is complemented by two other American universities: Stanford University and Harvard University. The North Americans are fighting side by side with the United Kingdom, since the Americans have five universities, while the British four, being the best ranked the Oxford University (5).

But, studying at the best university in the world guarantees you the best salaries? Although you will not have the best remuneration, the truth is that they are among the best paid on the planet. According to Forbes magazine, taking into account the salary of the alumni, the student debt, the experience of the students, the professional achievements of the graduates, the academic success and the graduation rate, Harvard is the best educational center in the country. In the second place is Yale and in third place is Stanford.
