Recently, "Thor: Love and Thunder" has been seen in the big movie theaters, a film that, from the outset, seeks to break with certain schemes and stereotypes. Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth star in this fourth Marvel Thor film. In this production, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) will be a superheroine, thus highlighting the importance that on the big screen there is more and more representation of heroines with leading roles and not only secondary ones as was some years ago.

This movie is a sequel to "Thor: Ragnarok" and of course it talks about Thor, but with a special addition and that is that he is in a retreat to be able to relax momentarily. However, this break is violently interrupted by a galactic assassin seeking to wipe out all gods in existence. It is at that moment when Thor, with the help of characters like Jane Foster, Korg, and Valkyrie, will try to prevent at all costs that this god, who comes from another galaxy, ends with them and with the world in which they live.

And with regard to the premiere of this film and the novelty that has meant that Jane Foster can lift the Miljonir hammer, we present to you five other superheroines who throughout the latest film productions have also managed to go from comics to the big screen with great prominence and repercussion.

"Wonder Woman" (2017)

Wonder Woman has been one of the most outstanding superheroines of the DC Comics editorial and, for the same reason, in 2017 it became the first individual film of a heroine to reach the big theaters. It marked a before and after. Its success led to producers and production companies beginning to bet more on female characters in their films. So good was the reception of "Wonder Woman" that 2020 opted for its sequel, called "Wonder Woman 1984", in which it was possible to learn even more about this woman endowed with supernatural powers and a strength that stands out above average.

"Captain Marvel" (2019)

Marvel Studios also dared in time and in 2019 it went from having a man as a Captain Marvel to a woman as a Captain Marvel. It thus became the first film from the film studio to be starred by a woman. She was played by actress Brie Larson, who fully portrayed the heroine's speed, stamina, and energy projection. Likewise, Captain Marvel as a result of this success has also had important roles in other great deliveries such as "Avengers: Endgame" (2018) and in "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" (2021). Larson will play Carol Danvers again in "The Marvels", a film that should be released in 2023 and will be the continuation of "Captain Marvel".

"Black Widow" (2021)

Played by Scarlett Johansson, it focuses on a complex past that the black widow must face, who will have to deal with the consequences of having worked as a spy for many years if she wants to stay alive. An expert in hand-to-hand combat, with a privileged immune system and great ability to control weapons, she was one of the newest adaptations of Marvel and she has not been disappointed. The reception was such that, in its first weekend of release, this film managed to break box office records in theaters in the United States and Canada.

"Dark Phoenix" (2019)

It is part of the X-Men film saga, but here the protagonist is not Wolverine, but Jean Gray, personified by Sophie Turner. And this is not something new, already in "X-Men3: The Final Battle" (2006) the telepath Jean Gray had a more relevant appearance, with powers that were of such magnitude that they surpassed the always remembered Professor Charles Xavier, and which in fact transformed her into danger to her teammates and her rivals since on many occasions she was unable to control her abilities and could finish off whoever got in front of her. In "Dark Phoenix" (2019), the X-Men (as in the "Final Battle") have to face Jane, who is too strong and this makes her lose control easily, causing damage to those who even once were an important part of her life.

"Ant-Man and the Wasp" (2018)

In "Ant-Man" the female character had a secondary role, however, in its sequel, "Ant-Man and the Wasp", the superheroine jumps on the scene and Scott Lang fights together with the Wasp against the threats that lurk on the horizon. Fans and fans will also remember that the Wasp is one of the founding members of the Avengers team, so the fact that she finally has a bigger role in a movie stands out. With the ability to shrink or grow whenever she wants and with a strength that, regardless of her size, is maintained and even grows, the Wasp is a character that has come to jump from comics to feature films.
