Elizabeth II is not the only sovereign of the United Kingdom. When her father died in 1952, Elizabeth II became head of the Commonwealth of Nations and Queen of the seven independent countries belonging to it: The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, and Ceylon. But between 1956 and 2021, half of its kingdoms, including South Africa, Pakistan, Jamaica, and Ceylon (later renamed Sri Lanka), became independent republics.

Its silver, gold, diamond, and sapphire jubilees were celebrated in 1977, 2002, 2012, and 2017. This year, the Kingdoms of the Commonwealth of Nations are preparing to celebrate the platinum jubilee between June 2 and 6, 2022, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of her reign, completed on February 6, 2022, becoming the longest-living Queen in history.

A lover of dogs and horses, she had more than thirty pets of the Pembroke Welsh corgi breed, descendants of the dog named Susan, which she was given when she turned 18. Her equestrian hobby has been highlighted since she has always had copies of her preference. She always traditionally attended events, a hobby her daughter Princess Anne shared, who won several competitions. Sanction is the name of the last horse that Queen Elizabeth II rode because, by medical indication and due to her advanced age, she was suggested to ride ponies of the Fell breed, and of these, her favorite is called Fern. Aureole was another favorite, being the first racehorse she inherited from her sire, King George VI. It is estimated that she has obtained more than 1,600 victories with nearly 100 champion horses. The royal house shared a recent photo of the Queen holding two beautiful white ponies.
