DC Comics is on everyone's mouth. The recent release of Wonder Woman 1984 managed to revive the box office of theaters, something that could be seen particularly in the United States. This film managed to have a good specialized criticism, so the superhero franchise itself is experiencing a good moment that encourages it to compete head to head with Marvel.
The truth is that, in the near future, there are also several productions announced by DC Comics. Although this film had debuted in theaters and HBO Max simultaneously, from Warner Bros they want to go all out and make this company successful with their films. Let's see what the situation of each is.
The Batman (March 4, 2022)
One of the most anticipated productions. Initially, the premiere was set for October 1, 2021. However, we currently know that it will be delayed until March 4, 2022, due to some problems with production during this pandemic . Nonetheless, the fans have aspects to look forward to.
First of all, this new version, embodied by Robert Pattinson, makes the entire community impatient to see what the characteristics of the bat man are. Previously, we had other more or less successful performers, such as Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, George Clooney or Val Kilmer .
The Sun newspaper reported that director Matt Reeves and the protagonist of this film are experiencing "very tense moments on the set", as the actor is pushing his performance to the limit. And it is that this vigilante from Gotham is one of the favorites of the entire superhero universe, so much is expected about this film.
Black Adam (December 23, 2021)
Another production that had to be delayed by the coronavirus. This film, with Dwayne Johnson, is another of the most interesting projects in the franchise. He is one of the most powerful supervillains in all of DC, which means that even this actor is training to rise to the occasion and even surpass the power of Thanos in Marvel .
We are talking about an ancient Egyptian who obtains the powers of six gods, which is why his strength is unimaginable. This project has been in the works since the 2000s, but now it has been launched and excites all the fans, who hope it has a deep perspective on the wishes of a villain who could revolutionize DC.

DC Super Pets (May 20, 2022)
One of those that nobody expected, but that could surprise everyone. It will be an animated film that had been announced in 2018 and which was also delayed, since, at first, it had been set for 2021. At the moment, not many details of the project are known, beyond that the director will be Jared Stern and that the protagonist would be the dog Krypto . What is clear is that it will be a story for animal lovers.
The Suicide Squad 2 (August 4, 2021)
The first film had shown us the potential that several of the DC characters had. In this sense, this second James Gunn film is kept for August 4, 2021, although it will not be a sequel in the strict sense of the word. On the contrary, it will be a "new look" at the world of antiheroes , having a new cast, in most cases.
Precisely, from the specialized medium Fotogramas indicate that this story would be told from the perspective of the villains. The director himself warned that he is not afraid that the characters will die, which could even affect that of the protagonist: Margot Robbie, who plays the iconic Harley Quinn . However, it is not known who else could be part of the project.
The Flash (November 4, 2022)
This movie could be one of the most important productions in all of DC Comics history. Despite some delays in production, it was confirmed that on November 4, 2020 we will be able to enjoy this story. The play, by Andrés Muschietti, will show us the life of Barry Allen, who uses his powers to go back in time, albeit selfishly .
For this reason, we could know "alternate stories", where iconic characters would be included. For example , it was confirmed that there will be different versions of Batman, who will make cameos, including the version of Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck and even that of Christian Bale . The truth is that it could revolutionize fans, who always dreamed of finding all the versions in the same scene.
Shazam 2 (June 2, 2023)
Shazam 2 will be a David F. Sandberg movie that could bring the return of an important DC hero to the cinema. We speak, neither more nor less, than Henry Cavill's Superman, who could retake his role after doing it in the Justice League film, from 2017 . The truth is that there are no details about the history of Billy Baston, although in this sequel he could face the Monstrous Society of Evil.
Aquaman 2 (December 16, 2022)
Finally, Jason Momoa's "fishi" superhero has his sequel planned for December 16, 2022 . The first film was a real box office success, so they hope to win over audiences in a similar way. There he obtained the trident of King Atlan and became the Master of the Ocean. Also, we see that Black Manta's character survived the fight in Sicily, something that was seen in the post-credits scene . Therefore, it would not be crazy to believe that history will be oriented on that side.
Therefore, we see that there is a great list of DC productions that fans are excited about. The superhero community is looking forward to all of these movies!
