1. Create a book of joy

Create an Instagram collection of things that make you happy. Maybe you have a collection of knitting patterns, books, or fashion photos. They could also be photos of your children. Upload it to Instagram, your little book of joy, so that every time you look at that collection you have feelings of happiness and well-being.

You can also take notes on your phone of everything that makes you happy. You can do this even when you're not babysitting or anytime for yourself, but it still feels like you're doing something for yourself.

2. Eat when you feed your children

Some moms are so busy that they forget to maintain good eating habits for themselves. You never stop feeding your kids – they have three meals a day with snacks in between, but what about you?

Eating is a way to take care of your body and make sure you have enough energy to cope with everything you have to deal with during the day. Eat the things you give your children because most of the time they have very healthy foods, including lots of vegetables.

3. Realistic exercise

If you're a busy mom, you probably think you don't have time to go to the gym, go for a run, or don't have space in your day to exercise. However, exercise doesn't have to be viewed a certain way. You can do specific activities that don't take a lot of time. All you have to do is make sure you are wearing comfortable clothing like gym leggings.

It's enough to get your body moving, so as long as you have a couple of minutes when the kids are eating, playing well, or the baby is sleeping, do some jumping jacks and go up and down the stairs as many times as you can.

4. Clear your mind once a day

To do this, you need a little peace. You can download an application with relaxing and motivating speeches. All you have to do is sit still and listen to how long you decided your little session would be. You can do this when the children go to bed or in the morning before they wake up.

When women hear the word self-care, they usually imagine a day at a spa with the girls or a weekend with their friends. However, self-care is everything you do for yourself that brings you joy, pleasure, and makes you feel good. Being a busy mom is not an excuse for not taking care of yourself.
