Educational institutions do their best to provide relevant courses at any academic level, as well as various grants and scholarships. In this article, we will review 10 PhD scholarships for international students available in the US and abroad. Doctoral students are especially motivated to keep on studying and get the highest quality of education. 1. Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) International Scholarships at University of Flinders

Every year, Flinders University offers a scholarship for its research training program to doctoral students from any country except for Australia and New Zealand. The pandemic hasn’t messed up their plans this year. There are only 10 awards available for this scholarship. As an applicant, you have to satisfy your Doctorate by research degree, complete an equivalent of Australian First Class Hons degree, and meet the English proficiency requirements.

2. Fulbright Foreign Student Program in the USA

If you want to conduct research at the US universities, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program can grant you such a chance. International students from 155 countries can apply for this scholarship and become researchers at top American universities.

The grant covers tuition fees, the living costs, expenses for student relocation, the publication of academic papers, and some other expenses.

To apply for the Australia RTP scholarship, you must be a domestic or foreign student of an Australian HEP or the one enrolled in an accredited HDR course. You should send your application directly to the university of your choice by October 2020. 

7. University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships

The University of Melbourne keeps functioning both online and offline this fall, so you can apply for a PhD scholarship there. The program helps you get any doctoral degree provided by the university and it can be granted to both domestic and international students. To apply for this scholarship, you need to meet the requirements of a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne or be currently enrolled in one of their programs. 

8. Singapore International Graduate Award

If you have excellent master’s results and wish to get a doctorate in biomedical or physical sciences and engineering, you should apply for a graduate award from the Singapore government. You can choose to study at the best graduate schools in Singapore and take up to 4 years of doctoral studies covered by the grant. Besides excellent results in research and academics, you have to know English at a good level and provide reports from your previous academic referees.

9. EDUFI Doctoral Fellowships in Finland

To give you a wider choice, we have found one more European scholarship that was not closed for the academic year 2020/21. The EDUFI program is available for all international doctorate students willing to pursue a degree at a Finnish university. The preference is given to Latin American students, so it’s a realistic prospect for you to pursue a degree in Europe. The scholarship period lasts for up to 12 months, it covers living expenses but doesn’t reimburse additional allowance and travel fees. 

10. University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships

Our last scholarship option is a grant from the Canadian University of Manitoba. This scholarship covers any graduate program available at the university and is targeted at all domestic or international students. You should contact the department you choose to know the precise application requirements, but they are usually not too demanding. The minimum GPA for admission is 3.0.
