Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were married from 2015 to 2017. Their separation was all the rage in Hollywood and in the entertainment press given Depp's infamy. Sometime later, the 33-year-old actress denounced the actor for domestic abuse and since then the case has taken relevance as one of the most complicated divorces in Hollywood.

Something that has prolonged it is that Johnny Depp has contradicted Heard by denying her allegations and has accused her of perjury for inventing a domestic violence case. To prove it, Depp's lawyers have used audiovisual material as security cameras in their home to prove that Heard was not a victim of abuse.

Background

Johnny Depp doesn't have a good couple history. His bad reputation as a spouse comes from time ago, since his marriage to Lori Anne Allison. In addition to this, he has faced judges more than once for riots while being drunk and is known he has problems with alcohol.

Repeatedly, his previous partners such as Winona Ryder and Lori Anne Allison have stated in interviews that they were not surprised by Amber Heard's accusations. Both have claimed that while they were never victims of violence, the relationship with Johnny Depp was very intense and he struggled with alcoholism.

This Sunday, the Daily Mail revealed exclusive recordings in which Amber Heard admits hitting Johnny Depp. These recordings are part of a couple therapy that the marriage was taking in 2015.

They hear the actress say: "I'm sorry I didn't slap you in the face, but I hit you." You can also hear the voice of the actor, who expresses concern about ending "being a crime scene" and the violence that was on the side and side of the couple.

In the recordings, the actress admits that she can't promise that it won't happen again: "I can't promise that I'm not going to get violent again," she says.

Amber Heard is an ambassador for women's rights and an activist for the promotion of domestic violence complaints. With this new information revealed by the Daily Mail, the veracity of her complaints is questioned, but the judicial case between the couple is also complicated.

It is not yet known whether this is an instance of lies before the law or an out-of-control toxic relationship that falls within the scope of domestic and gender-based violence, in a more complex way than is expected by US justice. The judges and lawyers of both parties will already say it during the process.
