The young French striker is valued today as the most expensive player in the world. His numbers at his young age lead him to be the best in the world
A few weeks ago, Transfermarkt, one of the most important specialized portals of the world in the soccer market, published the list of the most expensive players in the sport on the planet. Of course, it is ready to generate all kinds of "morbid" attitudes among fans and experts of international soccer, and, on this occasion, much more.

The player who leads this ranking is not the most experienced, nor the oldest. With only 20 years, Kylian Mbappé is the most expensive soccer player in the world, reaching a staggering 200 million euros.
He is followed by his partner at the Paris Saint Germain, Neymar, with 180 million euros, and the Top 3 ends with 'Lio' with a price of 160 million euros. However, it surprises that neither in this list, nor in the Top 5, nor in the Top 10, Cristiano Ronaldo appears. The Portuguese, already with 34 years, decreased its value to 100 million euros, which positions it in the number 16 of the ranking.

How did Mbappé reach the top?
According to the newspaper AS, the young French player has a short but powerful track record behind him: 1 French League Cup, 1 French Cup, 1 French Super Cup, 2 French Leagues and, the undisputed icing of the cake, 1 World Cup.
There is no doubt that the role of Mbappé in the World Cup obtained with France, in the last World Cup of Russia 2018, is a more than valid argument to place him at the peak of the most expensive players in the world.
"Russia opened the doors to him and he, with his soccer artist and scorer's seal, put an entire country in a state of delirium (...) Mbappé, with only 19 years, won his first World Cup, also scored four goals in The World Cup, which puts him at the top of world soccer at such a young age," was the description given by El Universal of Colombia.
However, apart from the World Cup, Mbappé can also show off about the more than 20 goals he has scored this season, as well as the 130 he has scored throughout his career, which only comes down to four seasons (2015-16, 2016- 17; 2017-18; 2018-19). Consequently, it can be said that the main reason for the Gaul being the most expensive in the world is his youth, of course, combined with his talent and his incredible numbers.
And now, what to expect?
For Transfermarkt, the value of a player is measured by the number of appearances in a season, goals, own goals, assists, cautions, expulsions (direct and by double yellow), times he entered from the bench and times when he was changed. In almost all the items Mpappé was the best: 24 goals in 32 games, 15 assistances, no own goal, 4 yellow cards, and 1 red one.
If he continues on that scoring route, Kylian will not only be able to increase his scoring number, but he will raise another title with his club, which will keep him international in the French national team, and, finally, as one of the most sought-after players in the world. All that adds up.
After all, as "O Rei" Pele said, according to El Espectador: "I think he can be the new Pele and I'm not kidding". Of course, this argument has no reflection on the final price of the player, but demonstrates the importance that Kylian already has in world soccer.
