In defense, the Parisian team had three Brazilians who only allowed 23 goals against (in 33 games played so far). Dani Alves and Thiago Sila brought experience to this sector, while Marquinhos contributed with his youth and talent.

The midfield was full of good gaucho game and strength. Giovani Lo Celso and Javier Pastore contributed with seven goals and five assists between the two.
