On Sunday, April 1, the renowned Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage arrived to Colombia to record the film Running with the Devil . The film will tell the story of a DEA worker in Colombia and South America with the objective of discovering the cocaine loading routes.
According to El Tiempo, the production is directed by Jason Cabell and is being recorded in the industrial zone of Bogotá and in Chapinero. As said by RCN radio, Cabell "served 21 years in the special forces of the United States, and he knew first hand the chain of production of the drug in the country".
It should be noted that the actor's stay adds to the visit of other stars to Colombia as Charlize Theron, Daniel Radcliffe, Owen Wilson, Tilda SwIGNORE INTOn, Chuck Norris, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Cruise, and Elijah Wood.
The mayor of the Colombian capital, Enrique Peñalosa, affirmed in his Twitter account that the production takes place within the framework of Law 1556 of Cinema.

This law, promulgated on July 9, 2012, "aims to promote the cinematographic activity of Colombia, promoting the national territory as an element of cultural heritage for the filming of audiovisuals and through these, the tourist activity and the promotion of the image of the country, as well as the development of our film industry".
The actor and the production team will be in Colombia for two weeks and the film will be released in early 2019, according to RCN Radio’s information.
