Omar Enrique Guio (Colombia)
“Human Landscape Series”
Omar Enrique Guio is a talented artist with a unique and refreshing style. This series explores the relationship among women and 21st century life. A great awareness of the beauty of nature can evoke strong images and emotions. Life is a gift - if we can learn to appreciate all the wonderful things it offers. In all his work, Omar drew upon the influence and inspiration of life itself.
Omar’s abstract paintings have universal appeal, despite acquiring a newly cultured look, these landscapes, made with serenity and attention , are transformed into a juxtaposition of nature and its human invaders. His work may remain totally abstract or venture into landscape suggestions . It is a work open to multiple readings connecting the personal to the collective, the experiential to fantasy, fiction to reality, identity to otherness. Color and movement can both describe and possibly induce a state to attract a natural rather than constructed rhythm from the composition, the explicit use of color and the pervasive luminosity.
1 st prize at the 16 th Rotary Salon.
Today, his works can be found in private collections throughout USA, Canada, France, Austria and Germany.

Ileana Gutierrez (Colombia)
“New paintings”
Ileana Gutierrez is one of most impressive representatives of the contemporary Colombian fine arts. Her art works are hardly possible to definitely attribute to some particular style or trend. The style of her paintings is always individual and recognizable though every time it remains within the framework of the figurative paintings.
One of the great influences has been France , she attended Le Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.
Ileana Gutierrez´s landscapes most often communicate her longing for the sea. We are fascinated by the quiet sea, and the silhouettes of the boats lingering in the day light.
In this recent body of work Ileana handles the texture, color and form of the landscape with a sculpting hand, almost carving the paint on to the canvas with a layering of color and varied brushwork. . These pictures are explorations of the cutting and layering of shape and color in a sweeping landscape and they maintain a delightful equilibrium between representational landscapes and landscape as abstract inspiration.
She constantly experiments with techniques and materials - finding new ways to reflect the changing light and seasons in her work.
Ileana never allows the sentiment behind a work , she uses the color, tone and mood, giving the eye a chance to relax and imagine , what she calls “sentimentismo”. They represent a consensus, derived from experience, about the common sentiments of mankind. Those finer emotions between the form and the sentiment.

María Teresa Hernandez Reyes
“The Spiritual Dimension”
María Teresa born in Colombia, is a renowned sculptor and painter.
The feminine aspect in María Teresa´s work goes beyond shapes and colours each one of her paintings and sculptures surprises through shapes, light, movement and a fine game of colours, she expresses her pictorial view which has acquired singular importance.
She does not deform reality or causes a higher sensibility at the surface. She has a simplified and dynamic view.
Her Sculptures get an unitary rhythm. Plural and multiplications denounce a serial production of human figures; transforms the body into a message into a kind of promise to the observer. Memory will function as a wish projected in each image - imagined and created a delicate code makes visible the implicit words in identification with the body and its origin, a body that adapts more and more to our own body. María Teresa arranges the human figures that appear to defy gravity and float.
There is a simple elegance, vitality and unexpected sense of immediacy and lightness in her work.
Spiritual Dimension series conceives colour in María Teresa's works as her means to attain space perception. In fact, the embodiment of colour as a dimensional property is the point.
Her art could be described as wildly elegant and full of vitality, blended with the energy.
The world of images acquire form, but also the spiritual and metaphysical. It is an image in the sense that it offers us a vision of what is both actual and possible.
Maria Teresa has been in many exhibitions, great part of them in Colombia, EEUU, Canada, Mexico Spain and France.
