Experts discuss sexual tourism in Santo Domingo.

During the meeting “ practices to prevent sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the travel and tourism industry” from Santo Domingo, the special delegate of the ONU Najat M’ Jid Maalla, requests strengthen laws and strategies to combat commercial sexual exploitation of children in tourism.

"The sexual exploitation of children and adolescents is a crime, is a violation of children's rights and compromises their dignity" said Najat Experts from Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras México y la República Dominicana will be presenting strategies’ plan about protection of children and adolescents.

This meeting has like objective the design of policies and socially responsible. Meanwhile the Ministry of Tourism, and UNICEF signed an agreement to prevent the exploitation of children in travel and tourism industry in the República Dominicana.
