El presidente venezolano, Hugo Chávez, reveló ayer que varios miembros del Secretariado (jefatura) de las FARC se encuentran en Venezuela y que próximamente se reunirá con ellos para avanzar en la búsqueda de un canje humanitario en Colombia.
También está en Venezuela un emisario del gobierno de Francia y un alto jefe de la guerrilla del Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN), afirmó Chávez, quien ejerce como ''facilitador'' en el proceso de búsqueda de un acuerdo humanitario en Colombia que permita el regreso de los secuestrados a sus hogares.
''Acaba de llegar a Venezuela, no voy a decir dónde están, pero debo verme con ellos. Son varios representantes del Secretariado de las FARC ... están ya a buen recaudo aquí en Venezuela, me voy a reunir con ellos, no sé si esta noche, mañana, pasado mañana...'', dijo el mandatario en un acto proselitista en Caracas.
''Por fin han llegado'' los representantes de la Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) ''para comenzar las reuniones en función del acuerdo humanitario'', agregó.
El mandatario, que facilita el proceso de canje humanitario junto a la senadora opositora colombiana Piedad Córdoba, informó que en Venezuela también se encuentra ''un emisario del gobierno de Francia y un alto jefe del ELN'', sin más precisiones.
''Venezuela convertida en un centro de búsqueda de la paz'', manifestó Chávez, quien ha reiterado insistentemente su empeño en ayudar a la concreción del canje de 45 rehenes de la FARC por unos 500 miembros de esa guerrilla presos.
El primer encuentro de Chávez con delegados de las FARC estaba programa para el pasado 8 de octubre en Venezuela, pero fue pospuesto debido a la falta de elementos para ``completar el círculo''.
Ese primer encuentro frustrado de Chávez y delegados de las FARC sería ''preparatorio'' de una posible futura entrevista del gobernante con el máximo líder de esa guerrilla, ''Manuel Marulanda'', alias de Pedro Antonio Marín.
Chávez ha reconocido las ''dificultades'' que supone el proceso en busca del acuerdo humanitario en Colombia y ha insistido en que para ''poder ser útil'' como mediador es ''indispensable'' que se entreviste con ``Marulanda''.
