Andres Santodomingo's work, whether it be figuratve or abstract is concerned with the creation of something that exists in nature, the soul of a place or being. Creating a subconscious feeling of waking in a landscape, diving through underwater gardens. Sometimes one will create this feeling in a painter and the mystery will become clear for a moment. His preferred grouping would be with contemporary landscape painters.

Light and darkness seem to be much closer together than in our minds.His quest for better light never ends, he spares no pains to eradicate even the slightest of shadows. Finding a unique way of working on his own, further proof of the infinite potential of the oil paint Santodomingo concentrates on the effect rather than merely.realistically depicting the scene, and so achieves a delicate balance of abstract and representational imagery through hues of color, tone and form.

The beauty of his work lies in the ability to express a spiritual peace through the landscape setting that is common to most of his work and the vibrant luxuriousness of the paintings convey a calm beauty revealing the power of nature in all its glory. Just as others express the interplay of mutable elements of nature with light so Santodomingo continues to develop this genre - that of abstract landscape paintings.

The Florida Museum of Hispanic and Latino American Art- 1998 Porto, Portugal ( Hotel Infante de Sagres - 2001 ) Paris, France - 2002 He also has awarded couple of prizes in his artistic career.
