Rickenmann's recent series "Sunday" and "Slow burning"
are the cool abstraction , almost surreal, of the visible world, despite
the presence of furniture tools and implements that evidence human activity.
To a remarkable degree, these paintings are removed from life and temporary
reality. Both natural and manufactured elements are reduced to those required
to create a formal abstraction with the leat possible interference..Rickenmann's
work can be found in public and private collections in the United States,
France, Belgium Swisserland and Colombia.
