Born in Bogotà, Colombia, Adriana is an active contemporary painter in the Bogotà art scene. Stunning abstract artwork in vibrant colors. Adriana's "Torrid Zone" series reflect her upbringing; shapes and structures within an irrational environment with emphasis on form, color and composition, charged with movement and manifestations of an inner angst, lingering in the unknown. It is haunting, ethereal, magical, invigorating, mystical and inspiring.

Composition, once one of the fundamentals of all art, plays a vital role in Adriana`s work. For one, it provides structure. It endows these abstractions with credibility, and is instrumental in freezing the moment. Texture sets up dynamic rhythms; and each brushmark fashions a unique personality for its particular color and shape.
