Becerra’s semi-abstract paintings, express the inner most thoughts and personality of the artist. It is a truly blank canvas, view to contemplate, tangible image to copy, just the thoughts and imagination of his mind .Do those places really exist, and do a painting's multiple images derive from a single place? Yes and no. He finds ample darkness and traces of the past in a modern city. Urban solitude and emotional disconection Creating pieces that are quiet, enigmatic, and often intensely intimate, consisted of suspended strands of lights that are as beautiful as they are eloquent.

His paintings have become increasingly objective over time. He captures people feelings: the now, the emotions, the spirituality in an attempt to understand the true nature of how and what things really are in the current world. He uses the minimum number of colors, values, shapes, lines and textures as 'minimalist' and sometimes used in a humorous or disparaging sense.

But Becerra`s reality is not that of everyday external appearances. He gives much of his art the feeling of a balancing act .Yet the subject matter is only incidental to the emotional content of these paintings. The issues of control and surrender, of structure and dissolution, of existence and non-existence, add fundamental relevance to Becerra`s life. “Post-abstract realism,” usually bonding the human form with its environmen. The form and composition is by no means rigid, but free and still cohesive at the same time.

Many of Becerra`s paintings can be found in private collections in France, Germany, USA and Venezuela.
